Having regard to the Company’s size and scope, small steps have been always taken at unit level for social and inclusive development in the local area; however, given the relatively small size and geographical spread, it has not been practical to undertake directly any significant project outside these. The Company has thus adopted a policy to support external bodies, including through financial contribution, such as relevant NGOs or Government Relief Funds selected by the Committee.

Our CSR will focus on activities in areas, excluding those undertaken in pursuance of normal business of the Company, selected from those identified and prescribed under the Companies Act, 2013 with greater participation in the areas of health and social welfare, efforts towards reducing child mortality, promotion of education & social responsible behaviour, and employment enhancing vocational skills.

1. “Future Hope”, Kolkata which provides opportunity through its homes, school, sports and medical programme for some of the most vulnerable children from the streets and slums of Kolkata;
2. Aastha, Porvorim, Goa towards establishment of the Physiotherapy Room/Centre
3. Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Kolkata towards running Schools in Villages in the Sundarbans Area;
4. Samarpan Foundation, New Delhi towards continuing initiatives for children viz. provision of meals, clothes, education, proper medical care, recreational and vocational facilities, etc;
5. AVIEW (Village for Independent & Enterprising Women), West Bengal, which is an unlocked residential rehabilitation model unit for destitute women with mild to moderate psychiatric illness,
6. Thirumeyyar Charitable Trust, Tamilnadu towards restoration and renovation work at Sri Sathiyamoorthy Perumal Temple ;
7. Anandam to facilities the aged including construction of Isolation Rooms in the famale wards; and
8. Working capital and renovation of school building etc.
